Cumming
Cumming, the seat of Forsyth County, is the perfect city for families that enjoy lakeside conveniences and enough distance from Atlanta to make them forget that they are in a metropolitan area. Cumming is close to Georgia 400, a highway that allows for a straight drive to metro Atlanta, yet is so close to Lake Lanier that the whole family can be on the water in less than an hour. Numerous public use boat ramps surround the shoreline.
Cumming is served by Forsyth County Schools. Forsyth County’s population density is about 430 people per square mile, which is significantly less than that of other metro Atlanta counties.
